Thanks
This place is built by a painter, for painters, and it leans on work other people did first. None of it is quietly taken. If we use your work and have not said thank you, tell me and I will fix it.
The paint colours
The swatches and cross-brand matches are powered by an open dataset of real paint colours, put together by Rick Fleuren and the Miniature Painter Pro team. They did the painstaking work of gathering RGB values for thousands of paints and shared it freely under an MIT licence. We are grateful.
The data lives here on GitHub. If you find it useful too, go and star it.
Paint and range names (Citadel, Vallejo, Army Painter and the rest) belong to their makers. We reference them to help you paint. Paintbench is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
The tools
Built with Next.js, Sveltia CMS, and a pile of open-source libraries maintained by people who give their work away. Thank you to all of them.
You
And the hobby itself. We paint to slow down and escape for a while. Paintbench is meant to feel like that too: made by a person, never corporate, never faceless.
